Job summary

PDS Health in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients, assist dentists, take radiographs, manage supplies, and maintain infection control across multiple offices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, state-required certification, and, for Specialty Dentists, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Travel to multiple offices is common.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED and mandated state training for certification/licensure.
• Specialty dental assistants must have and maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Travel to multiple offices may be required; reliable transportation essential.
• One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state Dental Auxiliaries guidelines.
• Support PPE and maintain patient-focused care.
• Escort patients and coordinate with front/back office.
• Ensure smooth orthodontist scheduling and clean operatory.
• Sterilize equipment and maintain infection control.
• Prepare patients and assist dentists during treatment.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies in each operatory.
• Keep mouths dry during procedures and educate patients post-treatment.
• Document patient charts and clinician notes in the digital record.
• Present treatment records and consent forms to clinicians.
• Maintain equipment and work with Lead Dental Assistant on supplies.
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
• Model company culture and adhere to brand guidelines.
• Contribute to Perfect Patient Experience to retain Patients for Life.
