Experience in electrical utility/industrial environments:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical equipment & distribution systems (120V to 480V), including proper PPE use.
  • Preferably at least five (5) years of experience with electrical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, use multimeters, and make data cables.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical systems such as panelboards, switchboards, generators, UPS, DC systems, fire alarms, etc.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse audiences including customers, management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Attention to detail and efficiency in work execution.
  • Ability to develop troubleshooting techniques for various electrical/mechanical systems in standard and high-stress situations.

Other Job Requirements:

  • Physical labor tasks, including working on ladders, lifting a minimum of 65 lbs, and using PPE.
  • Ability to obtain forklift/mill operator licenses.
  • Work in various environments, including indoor, outdoor, high places, and areas with fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, and noise.
  • Travel to project locations, often 100% travel.

Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 or higher
  • TWIC certification
  • PowerSafe Training for Electrical Utilities
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams
  • Strong interpersonal, mentoring, and organizational skills
