Muth Electric Inc in Mitchell, SD seeks an experienced Traveling Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical construction projects from start to finish across our footprint. You will manage field operations, supervise crews, and ensure safety, quality, and on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical construction with supervisory experience and holds a Journeyman or Master Electrician license. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years electrical construction experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and construction documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Supervise foremen, electricians, and subcontractors.
• Manage workforce assignments and jobsite resources.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, safety plans, and codes.
• Inspect work for quality and adherence to specs.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams.
• Review drawings, schedules, and material requirements.
• Lead crews and maintain productivity standards.
• Provide training and guidance to field personnel.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate project concerns or improvements.
• Ensure installation of power, lighting, controls, fire alarm and related systems.
