Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Electrician with proven leadership to join our team as Electrical Project Foreman. This full-time role requires 100% nationwide travel and leading field crews across commercial and industrial environments.

Candidates will install, layout, and troubleshoot electrical systems, coordinate with Project Managers, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations including NFPA 70E. A strong track record of quality workmanship is essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrician with proven Lead/Foreman experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Proficient with trade testing instruments (voltmeters, ammeters, meggers) and operation of large tools (threading, hydraulic bending, tugging equipment).
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E standards and proper ARC flash PPE.

Responsibilities

• Lead small crews of 2-8 electricians with daily instruction, guidance, and training.
• Install, layout, and troubleshoot electrical systems, switchgear, conduits, cable trays, heat tracing, and freeze protection.
• Conduct functional tests on new systems and diagnose issues on legacy systems; perform updates or repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Crew Leadership: Lead small crews of 2-8 electricians, providing clear daily instruction, guidance, and training
• Project Execution: Install, layout, and troubleshoot various electrical systems, switchgear, conduits, cable trays, heat tracing, and freeze protection systems
• Testing & Diagnostics: Conduct functional tests on new systems, inspect electrical components to diagnose issues, and perform updates or repairs on legacy systems
• Technical Support: Assist with pre-installation planning by designing technical solutions; interpret blueprints, site maps, drawings, and one-lines
• System Installation: Set up and pull conductors, install grounding systems, perform CAD welding, and manage lighting circuits (120v-480v)
• Communication: Provide clear, prompt daily updates to Project Managers, customers, and field team members
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all corporate, customer, and OSHA safety regulations, ensuring systems meet all applicable local, state, and federal codes

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Licensing & Experience: Must be a Licensed Electrician with proven experience as a Lead or Foreman in commercial and/or industrial environments
• Technical Skills: Proficient with trade testing instruments (voltmeters, ammeters, meggers) and the operation of large tools (threading, hydraulic bending, and tugging equipment)
• Safety Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E standards and proper ARC flash PPE
• Certifications: Certified to operate boom and scissor lifts, with the ability to work comfortably at heights
• Tools & Transport: Must possess basic hand tools, personal PPE, and a reliable, insured vehicle
• Travel Flexibility: 100% comfortable working on the road full-time and operating unsupervised or with teams of 4-20 electricians
• Screening: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI within the last 3 years); must pass a background check and drug screening
