Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Traveling Telecom Drill Bores Operator to run drilling equipment for underground telecom cables and infrastructure across field sites. You will determine bore paths, verify utilities by potholing, operate and maintain equipment, and manage a bore schedule in all weather conditions.

Must be 18+, have a valid state driver's license, CDL Class A with tanker endorsement (or willingness to obtain), and a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license (not provisional) with clean driving record.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment and bore path design processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control drilling equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Traveling Drill Bores Operator is$24.00 - $35.00.
