Job summary

Gentle Dental Charleston in Las Vegas is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our compassionate, patient-focused team. You will support the orthodontist, prepare rooms, and help create a welcoming, professional patient experience.

The position is part-time and involves travel between offices within the Las Vegas market; applicants should have at least one year of orthodontic experience, on-site CPR/BLS, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience.
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS Certification.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient treatment and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready for patient care.
• Take diagnostic records, including impressions, photographs, and radiographs as permitted by state regulations.
• Provide exceptional patient care and education throughout treatment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Support a positive patient experience by creating a welcoming and professional environment.
• Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient office operations.

Travel Requirement:
This position supports multiple offices throughout the Las Vegas market. Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved business travel between locations.

The following qualifications may increase starting pay:

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification
• X-Ray Certification

• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, where applicable
