Role Overview
The primary role of the Dental Assistant is to support the success of the clinicians through effective delivery of the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE), creating a Patient for Life (PFL). Dental assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties, including preparing patients for oral examination, assisting in treatment, and working effectively with team members and patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform functions in accordance with state regulations.
- Participate actively in PPE, focusing on patient-centered care.
- Escort patients and introduce them to team members.
- Communicate with the team to ensure smooth scheduling.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
- Prepare patients and assist the dentist during procedures.
- Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed.
- Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies.
- Support patient care with proper instructions and charting.
- Support equipment maintenance and supplies management.
- Utilize technology and participate in team meetings.
- Model company values and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; additional training as mandated by state.
- Applicable certificates/licenses/registrations.
- For Specialty Dental Assistants: valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; in some cases, alternative transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent experience.

Compensation
$21.75-$30.25 per hour.
