Job summary

NATIONAL OnDemand, Inc. seeks an experienced directional drill operator to support fiber and utility infrastructure deployments across the United States.

You will operate directional drills, set up equipment, perform potholing, and read network prints while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, ability to pass DOT and drug screenings, and willingness to travel up to 14 days to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating directional drills is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physically able to perform field construction duties in various weather.
• Valid driver’s license and US work authorization; able to pass DOT, drug, background and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate directional drills, mini-excavators, and equipment for UG plant installations.
• Set up job equipment and reel trailers.
• Perform potholing and utility locate processes.
• Locate other utilities and maintain clearances with respect to ground, road, and sidewalk areas.
• Transport and place conduits and fiber reels properly.
• Read and interpret network prints.
• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements to ensure safe completion of jobs.
• Travel to project sites as needed, up to 14 days.
