Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy, part of the Guardian family of pharmacies, seeks a Pharmacist for long-term care facilities with extensive travel across North Carolina. You will review regimens, ensure regulatory compliance, and educate nursing staff while coordinating with facility leadership.

The role requires 2+ years in LTC or high-volume settings, a valid pharmacist license, and proficient use of pharmacy software. Travel up to 90% and flexible hours are expected.

Qualifications

• BS/PharmD degree in pharmacy required.
• Pharmacist license required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 2+ years of LTC or high-volume pharmacy experience.
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience required.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates drug regimens to assure appropriate therapy.
• Monitors facility compliance with federal and state guidelines.
• Acts as liaison between pharmacy and facility to resolve problems.
• Educates nurses about facility drug-use issues.
• Reviews physician orders for dosage and interactions.
• Trains and supervises pharmacy technicians, interns, externs.
• Produces written reports and submits to Administrators/Medical Director.
