Job summary

The role requires a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, a current state license, and at least 1 year of experience. You’ll lead technicians, manage inventory, and engage with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD. required.
• State Pharmacist License required without restrictions.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in medical consulting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing, including filing, entry, and packaging.
• Review orders and cycle-fill medications for accuracy.
• Verify legality and feasibility of dispensing based on patient factors.
• Interpret prescriptions with professional judgment for safety and legality.
• Adhere to Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Adhere to compounding guidelines and transfer prescriptions when needed.
• Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders when below par.
• Oversee technicians and provide feedback to supervisor.
• Log all error medication occurrences and assist with process improvements.
