Job summary

Rockford Construction seeks a Senior Superintendent to oversee field construction on large projects, traveling to sites across the Midwest and beyond. This role emphasizes schedule management, safety, and quality control.

You will coordinate with owners, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Applicants should have a CM degree or equivalent experience, 5–10 years in construction, and OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, Storm Water, with strong MS Project and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or years of equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Comfort with heights.
• OSHA 30-hour training required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Storm Water Management certification required.
• Travel may be required throughout the Midwest region and beyond.
• Knowledge of CSI format preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Primary liaison with owner/architects/engineers for day-to-day construction activities.
• Accurately project construction activities and site logistic plan for scheduling purposes.
• Review and understand all contract documentation and budgets.
• Review contract documents for constructability and QA/QC; raise concerns as needed.
• Develop and implement a project-specific quality control program; ensure mockups and inspections.
• Verify trade contractors have current COIs before starting on site.
• Implement Rockford branding on site and manage sign placement.
• Create and manage three-week look-ahead and weekly schedule uploads.
• Oversee multiple trades to ensure coordinated project operation and timely delivery.
• Provide progress reports for owner and trade contractor meetings.
