Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction activities from initial design through project completion.
• Ensure construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, providing clear directions and expectations for tasks.
• Review work progress on a daily basis, addressing any issues or delays immediately.
• Ensure all safety rules and regulations are adhered to at all times, maintaining a safe and clean job site.
• Review and understand all contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project goals are met.
• Conduct quality control inspections, ensuring workmanship meets or exceeds standards.
• Handle on-site emergencies promptly, coordinating with the relevant parties to resolve issues effectively.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in Design-Build Construction is essential.
• Must have commercial/industrial project experience.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a focus on implementing effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Proficiency in using construction management software and other industry-related technological tools.
• Certifications in construction safety and other relevant areas would be an added advantage.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project sites is a must.
