Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent in Des Moines, IA to coordinate on-site work, enforce safety programs, and manage the project budget while guiding trades and field crews to meet schedule and quality goals.

The role requires reading blueprints, leading meetings, and maintaining documentation, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and responsive problem-solving on dynamic construction sites.

Qualifications

• Post high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
• Strong documentation and file-management skills.
• Ability to stay calm under stress and manage challenging situations.
• Good meeting management and team-building abilities.
• Willingness to seek help when tasks exceed skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work of employees, subcontractors and PM on site to complete on time and on budget.
• Develop and administer site safety program and Job Safety/Hazard Analyses.
• Manage subcontractors per contract and track CPM schedule.
• Assist in development and monitoring of the project budget.
• Assist with material procurement and QA/QC on project.
• Hold and document required meetings and manage daily records.
