A leading company in geohazard mitigation seeks a Geohazard Mitigation Technician for outdoor work involving hands-on tasks such as measuring and drilling. As a Geohazard Mitigation Technician working for GSI, there is no typical day and the scenery changes often. You will be working outside in various climates, performing hands-on tasks such as measuring, drilling, mixing concrete, and creating sustainable infrastructure. GeoStabilization International (GSI) develops and installs innovative solutions to protect people and infrastructure from geohazards. We specialize in emergency landslide repairs, rockfall mitigation, and grouting, utilizing cutting-edge design/build and design/build/warranty contracting. GSI is a leading firm in geohazard mitigation and bridge rehabilitation across the United States, Canada, and Australia, with expertise, proprietary tools, and global partnerships to address slope stability and foundation issues in various geologic settings.
Experience in soil stabilization, grouting, or foundation mitigation, or prior construction experience as a carpenter, framer, concrete finisher, form builder, shotcrete worker, or similar outdoor, physical roles.
Work conditions include varying climates from tropical to desert environments. Moderate noise levels are typical, and hearing protection is often required. Employees may encounter construction site hazards and will perform heavy lifting (50 lbs+).

Pay ranges from $20-$23/hr, with overtime potentially increasing earnings to over $27/hr in 2023. The position involves 100% travel within the Eastern US (east of the Mississippi River) on a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule.
