Job summary

Independence Excavating, Inc. is seeking an experienced Concrete Paving Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a range of paving equipment including pavers, curb machines, finishers, rollers and mixers.

The role requires hands-on expertise, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and uptime. CDL preferred and safety certification would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Concrete Paving Mechanic.
• Proven expertise in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting paving equipment.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• CDL preferred; safety certifications preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair concrete paving machinery.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.
• Inspect equipment and replace worn parts.
• Keep maintenance records and parts inventory.
• Support paving operations and enforce safety standards.
