Job summary

B&B Concrete in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform formwork and finishing tasks on concrete structures from foundations to decks. You will read drawings, build and place forms, verify elevations, support safety compliance, and coordinate with the Foreman and Project Manager to ensure quality and on-site progress.

Experience reading blueprints, forming systems (symon forms), and basic reinforcing placement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; may aid reinforcing placement.
• Erect forms using diverse materials and forming systems (symon forms).
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb, level, laser, or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for work above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about issues, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
