Job summary

Birmingham-based contractor seeks a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to read drawings, build and place concrete forms, and ensure accurate elevations on site.

The role requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and clear communication with foremen and project managers. On-site work involves erecting scaffolding, coordinating form setups, and assisting concrete placement to support projects across foundations and structures.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood/metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set forms to elevations; assist with reinforcing steel.
• Maintain safety and comply with policies.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about issues.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in measurements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble forms for concrete floors, walls, and columns.
• Set forms to elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for work above ground level.
• Signal concrete deliverer and assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Observe and follow all safety policies and guidelines.
