Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform carpentry tasks related to prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete. You will erect and set forms for structures, foundations, and site work according to drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, building and setting forms (including Symon forms), ensuring proper elevations, and maintaining safety while assisting with concrete placement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, etc.
• Set and place forms to elevations and locations; may aid in reinforcing steel.
• Follow safety policies and guidelines at all times.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Build/assemble forms for concrete structures.
• Set forms to proper elevations and locations.
• Erect forms using various materials and forming systems (Symon forms).
• Verify accuracy with plumb bob, level, laser or digital transit.
• Maintain safe scaffolding and ladders.
• Communicate issues to Foreman or Project Manager.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with concrete placement as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
