Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in Lexington, KY is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform carpentry tasks for preparing, pouring, placing and finishing concrete. This role includes forming for floors, foundations, and structures using Symon forms and other systems.

You will read drawings, build and set forms to precise elevations, assist with reinforcing steel, and coordinate with the team to ensure quality and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Experience building and setting concrete forms.
• Set forms to proper elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel as needed.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set and place forms to elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel.
• Erect forms using materials and systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify structure accuracy with plumb bob, level, laser or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for high structures.
• Communicate with Foreman/Project Manager about issues, needs, or hazards.
• Ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
