Job summary

B in United States is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform prep, pour, place, and finish tasks for concrete structures, foundations, and site work per specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, building forms, setting elevations, placing reinforcing steel, and maintaining safety on site. Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work with team are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or contracting industry.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, elevator cores, stairways.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations and assist in installing reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenters level, laser and/or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• May assist signal concrete deliverer to position truck.
• Observe and comply with safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
