Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or contracting industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, elevator cores and stairs.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; may aid in reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using a wide variety of materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, level, laser and/or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for work at heights.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• May assist signalling the concrete deliverer to position the truck for pouring.
• Observe and comply with all safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
