Job summary

Kiewit Southeast District seeks a Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil projects, including hurricane repair work, bridges and drainage. You will coordinate crews, subcontractors and equipment to deliver safe, timely results in line with specifications.

The role demands strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to travel to multiple sites across the Southeast region. Experience in design-build and slope repair is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of civil construction experience, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Experience operating major grading equipment and working on bridges, roads, or related projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily field activities including scheduling and equipment management.
• Enforce Kiewit’s Zero Harm safety culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
• Monitor progress, quality, and productivity; implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Manage material deliveries and maintain inventory to prevent delays.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports and timecards.
• Mentor and develop field staff to build a strong, capable team.
