Canteen North America is hiring a Traveling Chef Manager in Hanover, MD. This role leads the culinary and food service operation across assignments, ensuring quality, cost control, and client satisfaction while maintaining safety standards.

You will manage inventory and procurement, develop menus, and drive sustainability with a focus on local sourcing. The position offers full-time hours and benefits; travel is required to support multiple client sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Must have HACCP knowledge.
• Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
• Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Experience with exposition cooking and P&L accountability; contract-managed service experience desirable.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Full culinary management of food service operation including inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable.
• Proficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food products.
