Job summary

Good Samaritan in Tyndall, SD seeks a Certified Medication Assistant (MA) for Long Term Care to provide resident-centered nursing care at multiple locations within a 75-mile radius. The role requires travel, 30+ hours monthly, and PRN scheduling with varying shifts.

Experience in long-term care and CMA/CNA certification per state requirements are needed. A drug screen and background check apply; generous premium pay and weekend/evening differentials are provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains continuing education credits as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under supervision of a charge nurse.
• Administer prescribed medications within scope of practice and documentation.
• Record and monitor vital signs and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and maintain clean, safe living areas.
