The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking a Carpenter for the JGMWTP project in Tempe, Arizona. The Carpenter will construct and install wooden structures for bridges, walls, and drainage components using hand and power tools, and will operate woodworking machinery on site.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable carpentry experience.
• Ability to climb and work on scaffolds/ladders.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs; may work in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; able to stand, bend, kneel or sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drainage structures, walls and additional structures.
• May assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed).
• Uses carpenter's belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other woodworking machinery.
