Job summary

DanceBUG Inc. is seeking a Camera Operator to travel nationwide, capturing dance competitions with professional livestream production gear. You will operate cameras, monitor systems, and manage media uploads for event coverage.

No dance experience is required; paid training is provided, and all travel expenses including flights, hotels, rental cars, and per diem are covered. Seasonal role, with overtime after 40 hours and guaranteed daily pay.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States (DanceBUG does not sponsor work visas).
• Live within approximately one hour of a major airport.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Available to travel Thursday through Monday during the season.
• Able to lift approximately 50 lbs.

If you've filmed sports, live events, weddings, concerts, theatre, or other fast-paced productions, we'll teach you everything you need to know.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting at $25/hour

What You'll Do

• Travel to dance competitions throughout the United States
• Operate professional camera and livestream production equipment
• Capture high-quality performances
• Set up and monitor camera and livestream systems
• Upload and manage event media

Paid Training

Every new Camera Operator receives:

• Virtual training during January
• A minimum of two live training events with an experienced Senior Camera Operator
• Hands-on instruction before working independently

You’ll never be sent to your first event without real-world training and support.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States (DanceBUG does not sponsor work visas)

• Comfortable driving 5-6 hours when required
• Comfortable with long production days and travel
• Able to lift approximately 50 lbs
• Able to pass a criminal background check
