Job summary

DanceBUG seeks Camera Operators to travel across the United States capturing dance competitions with professional equipment. You will operate camera and livestream gear, ensuring high-quality performances are recorded and distributed to viewers.

Training is provided, and the season runs February through June. If you enjoy fast-paced productions and travel, this role offers hands-on experience with modern broadcast tech and travel perks.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States (DanceBUG does not sponsor work visas).
• Live within approximately one hour of a major airport.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Available to travel Thursday through Monday during the season.
• Able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.

No Dance Experience Required

If you've filmed sports, live events, weddings, concerts, theatre, or other fast-paced productions, we'll teach you everything you need to know.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting at $25/hour

What You'll Do

• Travel to dance competitions throughout the United States
• Operate professional camera and livestream production equipment
• Capture high-quality performances
• Set up and monitor camera and livestream systems

Paid Training

Every new Camera Operator receives:

• Virtual training during January
• A minimum of two live training events with an experienced Senior Camera Operator
• Hands-on instruction before working independently

You’ll never be sent to your first event without real-world training and support.

Requirements
