Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks a Traveling Assistant Superintendent to support multifamily construction projects across the Southeast and beyond.

Responsibilities include coordinating with subcontractors, scheduling, safety oversight, planning, and guiding project teams to meet timelines. Candidates should have exterior and hardscape experience, strong communication and blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors, budgets, and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Construction/Business Management preferred.
• 3+ years in multifamily new construction (not rehab/remodel).
• Experience managing subcontractors, scheduling, and safety on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with subcontractors regarding production, schedules, and deliverables.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety policies and project specifications.
• Coordinate project activities with Company personnel.
• Review status reports, drawings, and changes for schedule impact.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve on-site issues with project personnel.
• Assist in directing and evaluating project safety, resources, budget, and risk.
• Review and submit work and change orders to superintendent.
• Attend and lead project status meetings and assist in problem solving.

Position Summary

The Traveling AssistantSuperintendent will help withdaily operations including the project staff and subcontractors scheduling, management, safety, planning, and helpscoordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within time frame by performing the following duties personally or through management responsibilities. Candidate must have experience in exterior and hard-scape as that is the stage they are in.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with employees to coordinate with subcontractors regarding production & performance schedules & deliverables.
• Ensures subcontractor compliance with policies and safety procedures as well asplans and blueprint specifications
• Coordinate or assist with coordination of project activities with Company personnel
• Reviews status reports, shop drawingsand modifications forschedules or plans as required
• Meets with project personnel to discuss &provide technical advice and to resolve problems
• Responsible for assisting with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the project: including safety, resources, performance, budget, scheduling, equipment management, quality, and risk
• Review and submitworks and purchase / changeorders to superintendent.
• Attends & directs project status meetings and assists in problem solving efforts
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by site and companymanagement.
• Travel (full-time)required.

Skills and Abilities

• MULTIFAMILY New Construction Experience (Projects $20-60+MM)
• Civil Sitework, Exterior & Hardscape experience within multifamily construction
• Student Housing, Garden Style, Wrap, Podium Style Multifamproject experience preferred.
• Good Communication & Conflict Resolution skills.
• Contracts experience.
• Ability to work wellwith a team & manage as needed.
• Impeccable organizational skills.
• Blueprint-reading skills is a must.
• Experience Managingsubcontractors regarding production/schedule is necessary

They have many multifamily projects around the Southeast and as far as the west coast, so this person will need to be familiar with working at various locations for an extended period of time (up to 1-2 yrs)

Education/Experience

• Construction Management or Bachelor’s/Associates degree in Construction/Business Management preferred.
• 3+ years of industry construction experience within theMULTIFAMILYNEW construction (not rehab/remodel) industry;
