Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction seeks a Traveling Assistant Superintendent with 3–5 years of on-site leadership to guide interior buildouts, framing, and finishes. You will supervise self-perform crews, coordinate with subcontractors, and partner with project managers to deliver excellent projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a supervisory on-site role for commercial or industrial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Willingness to travel regionally as needed.
• OSHA safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of project tasks from start to finish.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specs to ensure accurate implementation.
• Travel regionally to projects to be on-site as needed.
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently while maintaining high craftsmanship and safety.
• Identify and resolve construction-related problems quickly and effectively.
• Maintain advanced proficiency in tool usage and safety practices.

ARCO/Murray National Construction is currently seeking a highly motivated Traveling Assistant Superintendent with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will lead site activities from start to finish. You will play a key role in executing interior buildouts, structural framing, finish carpentry, and specialty installations. You will be responsible for supervising self-perform crews, coordinating with subcontractors, and collaborating closely with project managers to deliver exceptional projects that reflect ARCO/Murray's commitment to excellence.

Typical base compensation for the Superintendent role is between $110,000 and $160,000. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role on-site for ground-up or large-scale renovation projects in commercial or industrial construction.
• Strong mathematical skills for measurements & calculations.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds & work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• OSHA construction safety certification preferred.
• Ability to read & interpret construction plans & blueprints.
• Excellent teamwork & communication skills.
