Job summary

UPMC is seeking a full-time Anesthesia Technician to support UPMC East, McKeesport, and West Mifflin locations. The role involves travel between sites with shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

and potential four 10-hour shifts. On-call duty may apply during weeknights and weekends, performing room and equipment prep for anesthesia procedures. The position offers a generous sign-on bonus of $5,000–$15,000 based on experience, paid within the first 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent with anesthesia tech program; OR graduate from an anesthesia tech school.
• ASATT certification preferred; BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with operating room supplies, anesthesia equipment, and offsite support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain anesthesia supplies and drugs with inventory control and restocking.
• Transport anesthesia equipment to and from OR and offsite locations.
• Assist with offsite anesthesia cases and patient preparation.
• Distribute medications to anesthesia staff for procedures.
• Set up IVs, lines, and equipment for anesthesia and monitor room readiness.
• Sterilize and maintain anesthesia equipment and report issues.
• Keep clean, organized workspaces and accurate records.
