Job summary

St John's College in Annapolis, Maryland and Santa Fe, New Mexico seeks an Admissions Counselor to promote our distinctive liberal arts curriculum and undergraduate experience, and to guide prospective students through the application process.

Based on the Santa Fe campus, you will travel extensively across the United States, meet with high schools and counselors, lead information sessions and campus tours, and collaborate with admissions, financial aid, and other colleagues to achieve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; liberal arts background preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Public speaking with confidence; comfortable addressing groups.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and supervise student workers.
• Experience in admissions or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and implement recruitment strategies in the assigned territory.
• Serve as primary contact for prospective students, families, counselors, and schools.
• Travel 8–10 weeks per year to meet with prospects and parents.
• Lead on-campus information sessions, tours, and interviews.
• Collaborate with admissions, financial aid, and other colleagues.
• Document work and maintain timely records; meet deadlines.
