Job summary

Tindall Corporation is seeking a Travelift operator in Spartanburg, SC to move concrete members, assist bed crew, and support finishing operations. The role requires following safety and quality procedures and coordinating with team members to ensure efficient production.

Responsibilities include operating the Travelift, preparing storage areas, and performing pour-related tasks. Opportunities exist within a disciplined manufacturing environment with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• All employees follow safety and quality rules.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver Travelift to finishing area and from finishing area to storage yard.
• Hook up member with helper when instructed.
• Position wooden blocks before stacking; ensure not to damage member.
• Stack member in storage yard without damage.
• Maintain clear finishing area; move completed members to storage.
• Perform pour-related duties when Travelift not in use (dry finish, rework).
• Fill out daily maintenance checklist and report issues with Travelift.
• Record member storage location daily and submit to scheduler.
• Transport wire mesh and long rebar to production areas.
• Unload miscellaneous from trucks (wire, rebar, forms).
• Rotate panels for sandblast into A-racks and lower to storage.

Summary of Primary Functions

Use Travelift to move concrete members from finishing area to storage, and assist other bed crew personnel with bed duties (set-up, pour, dry finish, etc.) when not using Travelift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

• Maneuver Travelift to finishing area and from finishing area to storage yard.
• Wait for helper to hook-up member.
• Wait for helper to position wooden blocks before stacking member.
• Stack member without damaging or breaking the member in appropriate location in storage yard.
• Keep finishing area clear on a daily basis, moving all members to storage that are complete.
• Perform other duties required for pour when not needed on Travelift such as performing dry finish activities or rework as directed.
• Fill out maintenance checklist daily and report to maintenance any problems with Travelift or anything in need of repair.
• Fill out member storage location report and turn into scheduler daily.
• Carry all wire mesh & long rebar into production areas.
• Unload miscellaneous from trucks (wire, rebar, forms, etc.).
• Rotate up all panels that require sandblast into A-racks & lower the pieces down and move to storage yard when they are done.

Job Specifications Or Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
