Qualifications

• Proven experience as welder.
• Capable of passing x-ray tests.
• Experience using TIG, MMA welding methods.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Knowledge of safety standards and PPE usage.
• Professional AWS welding certification may be required.
• Willingness to perform labor tasks and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Travel to different locations across Virginia for bridge structure & pipe rehabilitation projects.
• Perform welding duties using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Connect pipes by welding at butt joints and fill gaps.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces for flaws and maintain equipment safely.
• Perform other related tasks as required.
