Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking certified Welders for multiple locations including Northern VA, Baltimore, MD, and Hopewell, VA. The role focuses on fabricating, joining, and repairing equipment and structures using TIG, MIG, oxygen-acetylene, and arc welding techniques.

The position requires AWS certification and bridge-work qualifications (D1.5) for certain projects; D1.1 is required for all other structural welding. CDL-B and TWIC may be preferred.

Qualifications

• AWS D1.1 FCAW experience or ability to pass is required
• D1.5 (3G & 4G) needed for bridge work
• D1.1 needed for all other structural welding
• Driver's license and good driving record; Class B CDL preferred
• Merchant Marine and Able-Bodied Seaman credentials preferred
• TWIC preferred for access to sites

Responsibilities

• Fabricates, joins, and repairs equipment, fixtures, and structures using welding techniques
• Operates welding and shop equipment including drills, grinders, lathes
• Analyzes plans and specifications to determine work requirements
• Must be able to work while tied off to fall protection
