Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company, via Davey Resource Group, is seeking a Utility Pole Technician to inspect utility structures, determine treatment needs, and support restoration efforts in a high-travel field role. This on-site position travels across the Central U.S.

with lodging provided and a typical 40–50 hour week, often 75–100% travel as project demands. You will work with a team, operate drills and other equipment, and ensure safety at all times while engaging with landowners and project

Qualifications

• Ability to travel 75–100% as required by project demands.
• Experience with field inspections is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of utility structures to assess condition and need for treatment.
• Utilize handheld equipment such as drills, tensioners, and crimpers.
• Provide guidance to new employees in the field.
• Excavate holes around utility poles and backfill after completion.
• Collaborate with team and project managers; travel as required.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness at job sites.
