Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking an Underground Construction Crew Member to join our traveling crew. This role requires working across the Northeast, often away from home for extended periods, with overnight stays as needed.

You will join crews performing underground construction, with responsibilities ranging from site prep and material handling to traffic control and safety inspections. Candidates must be able to lift heavy loads, endure long shifts, and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of driving experience with no major driving infractions in the past three years.
• Willing to travel out of town with occasional overnight stays.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background screen.
• Complete and pass a DOT Physical.
• Two years of construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine construction-related activities such as pulling a rope, climbing ladders, using hand tools, digging with a shovel, cable handling, and cleanup.
• Stock truck with materials to ensure adequate daily supply.
• Organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Set up traffic control signs and cones; flag and direct traffic as needed.
• Complete daily equipment safety inspections and maintenance checks.
• Accurately complete all required company documentation (timesheet, truck report, expense report).
• Work safely and follow company safety policies.
• Perform other duties to help the team on projects.
