Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking an Underground Construction Crew Member to join our traveling crew serving the Northeast, with extended away-from-home periods and occasional local assignments in Williamsport area.

You will work on underground construction projects, supporting crews across multiple sites. Responsibilities include material handling, site organization, traffic control setup, safety inspections, and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of driving experience with no major driving infractions in the previous three years.
• Two years of construction experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• Willing and able to travel out of town with occasional overnight stays.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background screen.
• Complete and pass a DOT Physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine construction-related activities such as pulling a rope, climbing ladders, using common hand tools, manual digging, cable handling, and general cleanup.
• Stock truck with materials to ensure adequate supply for daily work assignments.
• Organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Set up traffic control signs and cones; flag and direct traffic as needed.
• Complete daily equipment safety inspections and maintenance checks.
• Complete required company documentation (timesheet, truck report, expense report).
• Work safely and comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Travel to project sites and assist crews in underground construction.
