American Traveler is seeking a Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of OB/GYN and maternal fetal experience for a 13-week contract. The role focuses on high-risk obstetric imaging and comprehensive fetal assessments in a Radiology setting.

The position requires ARDMS OB/GYN, BLS, and strong experience in 1st–3rd trimester scanning, Doppler, fetal anatomy surveys, and PACS/Epic EMR workflows. Travel-friendly housing allowances are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year OB/GYN and maternal fetal ultrasound experience.
• ARDMS OB/GYN certification and BLS required.
• Fetal anatomy survey, Doppler, and 1st–3rd trimester scanning experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform maternal fetal and OB/GYN ultrasound imaging and diagnostics.
• Work 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Mon–Fri.
• No weekends/holidays or on-call requirements.
• Travelers may float between sister facilities as needed.
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and PACS workflows.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of OB/GYN and maternal fetal experience for a 13-week contract.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Current BLS, NT, and ARDMS OB/GYN certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Maternal Fetal and OB/GYN experience required
• Skills in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scanning, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, nuchal translucency screen, placenta previa, and umbilical cord Doppler
• Experience with fetal abdomen, abdominal circumference, bone lengths, cerebellum/ventricles, diaphragm, head, and heart imaging
• Experience with amniocentesis and Doppler vascular studies preferred
• Experience with GE ultrasound equipment and PACS system preferred
• Experience in high risk OB and maternal fetal medicine settings preferred
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE preferred
• Experience with transvaginal, renal/pelvis, uterus, and vaginal imaging

Responsibilities

• Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Tech unit within Radiology/Cardiology
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No call requirements
• No floating required within the primary facility, though travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Perform maternal fetal and OB/GYN ultrasound imaging and diagnostic procedures
• Assignment includes 2-4 weeks of unit orientation
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Former permanent employees of any Providence facility (other than the specific hiring facility) are eligible if separated for at least 3 months
• All Providence facilities honor active compact licenses
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for this position
• Minimal RTO requests preferred; all time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
