Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of OB/GYN or vascular ultrasound experience.
• Completion of a 12-month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography/General Ultrasound or equivalent certificate.
• BLS certification is required.
• ARDMS registration in OB and OB-GYN is required.
• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification is preferred.
• Licensure is required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized maternal-fetal ultrasound exams with detailed anatomical evaluation.
• Conduct complete fetal echocardiograms, growth assessments and biophysical profiles.
• Provide guidance for needle procedures and transvaginal cervical assessments.
• Utilize advanced 3D/4D techniques and assist radiologists with invasive procedures.
• Educate residents and staff on exam types and standardization.
• Communicate results and preliminary findings to radiologists and OB providers.

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technologist with 3+ years of OB/GYN or vascular scanning experience and ARDMS registration in OB/OB-GYN.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience performing complex OB/GYN or vascular scans
• Completion of a 12-month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography/General Ultrasound or equivalent certificate program
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS registration required in OB and OB-GYN
• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification preferred
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Outpatient maternal-fetal medicine clinic setting
• Performs specialized maternal-fetal ultrasound exams including detailed anatomical evaluation, complete fetal echocardiogram, growth assessment, fetal wellbeing, biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler, and amniotic fluid assessments
• Also performs needle procedure guidance, maternal pelvic anatomy exams including transvaginal cervical assessment, and advanced 3D/4D diagnostic techniques
• Schedule consists of 4x9-hour shifts plus one 4-hour half-day on Friday
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• No on-call requirement
• Assists radiologist in performing invasive diagnostic techniques specialized to maternal-fetal ultrasound
• Provides standardization and training to residents on these exam types
• Consults with patients and evaluates contraindications such as medications, insufficient preparation, or inability/unwillingness to tolerate the procedure
• Performs ultrasound procedures under general or direct physician supervision as defined by the procedure
• Analyzes sonography findings throughout exams to ensure comprehensive data collection for physician interpretation
• Recognizes situations requiring direct radiologist observation of real-time scans
• Advises radiologist and referring OB provider of exam results and preliminary diagnostic findings
