American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with ARDMS or ARRT registry and 2+ years of sonography experience for a general diagnostic imaging role. The position offers day shifts and a travel-friendly environment.

Responsibilities include OB/GYN and vascular studies, with a wide range of exams across ED, ICU, and obstetrics settings. Travel experience is preferred; housing and licensure reimbursements are part of benefits.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program.
• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT registry required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Trauma Level II and hospital experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• General diagnostic ultrasound department performing a wide range of exams.
• Adult patient population across ED, ICU, High Risk OB, and Obstetrics settings.
• OB/GYN exams including 1st-3rd trimester studies and fetal assessments.
• Vascular studies including carotid, duplex, Doppler, arteries and veins.
• General ultrasound studies of abdomen, liver, biliary tract, breast, pancreas, etc.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and document exams while maintaining safety.

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with ARDMS or ARRT registry and 2+ years of sonography experience for a general diagnostic imaging role.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography Program
• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience preferred
• ARDMS or ARRT registry required
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist throughout the workday
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds using proper body mechanics
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities

• General diagnostic ultrasound department performing a wide range of exams
• Adult patient population across Emergency Department, ICU, High Risk OB, and Obstetrics settings
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:10
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Performs OB/GYN exams including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester studies, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and multiple pregnancy evaluations
• Performs general ultrasound studies including abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen
• Performs vascular studies including carotid, duplex, Doppler, arterial and venous studies of upper and lower extremities, and renal artery duplex
• Performs small parts ultrasound including thyroid, testicles/scrotum, and superficial masses
• Performs transplant studies for liver, pancreas, and renal
• Assists with procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound-guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration
• Uses PACS, Philips, and Siemens ultrasound equipment
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to department protocols
• Produce high-quality images for physician interpretation
• Assist radiologists with specialized procedures and exams
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality while accurately documenting exams
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide patient care
• Designated as a safety sensitive position under Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana
• Facility conducts its own drug screening upon arrival that includes marijuana testing
• Travel experience is highly preferred though first-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
