Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is actively hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with ARDMS certification and at least 1 year of experience for a general ultrasound position.

The role requires travel experience and pediatrics expertise, with preferred Epic charting system familiarity and hospital setting background. Responsibilities include performing general and vascular ultrasound, OB/GYN fetal surveys, and related procedures in a community hospital Radiology/Cardiology department.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification is required.
• At least 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• Travel experience is required for this assignment.
• Pediatrics experience is required.
• License may be required depending on location.
• Epic charting system experience preferred.
• Experience in a community hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound studies including abdomen, aorta, biliary tract, breast, liver, pancreas, and OB/GYN fetal survey.
• Conduct vascular studies (aorta, carotid, duplex, arterial/venous limbs).
• Perform renal/pelvis exams (bladder, ovaries/prostate, transvaginal, uterus).
• Carry out small parts and breast imaging; aspirates and superficial masses.
• Work in Radiology/Cardiology within a community hospital setting.
• Handle day shifts (5x8 or 9:30–6:00) with on-call as needed for staff shortages.
• Ensure patient care in adult population, including ED and portable exams.
• Utilize GE ultrasound equipment and maintain patient safety.

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with ARDMS certification and at least 1 year of experience for a general ultrasound position.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Pediatrics experience required
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Community hospital setting within Radiology/Cardiology department
• Adult patient population including Emergency Department and portable exams
• 1:1 patient ratio
• General ultrasound including abdomen, abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, breast, gallbladder, liver, and pancreas
• Vascular studies including aorta, carotid, duplex, and upper/lower extremity arterial and venous studies
• Renal/pelvis exams including bladder, hernia, ovaries, prostate, renal/bladder, transvaginal, uterus, and vaginal studies
• Small parts exams including breast cyst aspiration, breast ultrasound, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid
• OB/GYN fetal anatomical survey
• Procedures include paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment
• Day shift schedules available: 5x8 hours 6:00 AM-2:30 PM or 9:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Call requirement only if permanent staff does not pick up shifts, potentially one weekend (24 hours) per month and a few 6 PM-6 AM shifts per schedule
• Perform general ultrasound, vascular, renal/pelvis, small parts, and OB/GYN imaging studies
• First-time travelers will not be considered due to travel experience requirement
• Accepts local candidates at local rate
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Returning employees must have a minimum 1-year separation to be eligible to return as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday per contract eligible for approval
