Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a night-shift Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 2 years of general ultrasound experience to support ED, ICU, inpatient, and outpatient populations. ARRT/ARDMS certification and BLS are required, along with Epic EMR experience.

Experience with vascular studies and limited OB exams is preferred. The role uses Philips ultrasound equipment with PACS and may require on-call and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities

• Night shifts: 5x8 hour shifts, Mon-Fri 10:30 PM–7:00 AM.
• On-call and holiday rotation as needed; possible local rate differential.

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of general ultrasound experience to support ED, ICU, inpatient, and outpatient populations.

Requirements

• 2 years of ultrasound experience required
• ARRT or ARDMS certification required
• ARDMS AB certification required; ARDMS OB/GYN and ARDMS RVT preferred
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Strong general ultrasound skills required, including abdominal and renal/pelvic studies
• Vascular experience required, including arterial, venous, carotid, and Doppler studies
• Limited OB experience expected
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Ultrasound Tech - General position supporting ED, ICU, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• Primarily performs general ultrasound studies, with some vascular studies and limited OB exams
• Uses Philips ultrasound equipment and PACS system
• Documents in Epic EMR
• 5x8 hour night shifts, Monday-Friday 10:30 PM-7 AM
• No regularly scheduled weekends, though weekend coverage may be needed as part of on-call rotation
• No floating required outside of scope
• On-call and holiday rotation required as needed based on department needs
• Perform general, vascular, and limited OB ultrasound studies for a variety of patient populations including adult, pediatric, and emergency cases
• Any scrub color accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application, as RTO cannot be accommodated after submission
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Local candidates accepted at a local rate differential
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are considered local
