American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist for a night shift at a Magnet-designated Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Charleston, SC. The role requires proficiency in abdominal Doppler imaging and transplant studies, with responsibilities across multiple locations.

The position offers 4x10 hour night blocks (Mon-Thu, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM) with no on-call, and travel housing and licensure support. Epic, PACS, Philips and Siemens experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience.
Proficient in abdominal Doppler imaging and transplant studies.
BLS certification is required.
ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification is required.
ARDMS AB, ARDMS OB/GYN, and RDCS/RVT certifications are preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Responsibilities

General Ultrasound Tech duties within a teaching hospital setting.
Handle a varied daily caseload across Main and ART locations.
Perform abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts, and transplant studies (liver, pancreas, pediatric, renal).
Use Epic charting system; operate PACS, Philips, and Siemens equipment.
Work 4x10 hour night shifts (Mon-Thu, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM).
Possibility of emergency response duties during hurricane season.

865 staffed beds
Scrub requirement: teal tops and black bottoms
Candidates may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September)
Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
Radius rule of 60 miles applies
Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for facility approval
