Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 3+ years of acute hospital experience and ARDMS AB, OB, and RVT certifications.

The assignment includes general abdominal, OB/GYN and vascular imaging with a 40-hour workweek, possible call, and housing/travel support provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years full-time sonography experience in an acute hospital.
• Active BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic imaging department performing general abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and superficial structure ultrasound studies
• Procedures include abdomen, GYN, OB (1st-3rd trimester), neonatal, superficial structures, and vascular duplex studies
• Additional procedures include aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasound
• Uses Canon i700 ultrasound equipment, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS
• Variable 40-hour shift schedule with call responsibilities as needed
• May float to other units or departments within clinical scope
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to start of assignment for required screening
• No RTO will be granted during the first 13 weeks of the contract
• Personal scrubs and professional healthcare attire required
• First-time travelers may be considered

• At least one prior travel contract or equivalent experience preferred
• Active BLS certification (AHA)
• ARDMS certification required in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB), and Vascular Technology (RVT)
• State license required if applicable, obtained upon acceptance
• Competent in abdominal, GYN, OB, neonatal, superficial, and vascular ultrasound procedures
