Job summary

Newsandtribune is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 3+ years of experience to provide diagnostic imaging services in a hospital radiology department.

Responsibilities include performing abdominal, pelvic, and transvaginal sonograms, with a Monday–Friday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift and a call duty of approximately 1–2 times per week. Travel assignments and housing support are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Graduate of an AMA-accredited school.
• ARRT and/or RDMS certification.
• BLS certification required.
• State license required if applicable.
• Certifications must not expire within 30 days of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging for inpatient and outpatient populations under Radiologist direction.
• Shift 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Call approximately 1–2 times per week.
• 13-week assignment.
• Perform abdominal, pelvic (gynecological and obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms.
• Proficient in scanning small parts including thyroid, breast, and scrotum.
• Perform ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
• Travel nurse assignment; not current CHS staff in past 2 years; RTO requests <1 week; live outside 50-mile radius.
• First-time travelers may be considered
