Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with RDMS and OB experience for a critical access hospital's ultrasound department. The role requires 2+ years of experience, ARDMS, and BLS certification, with RVT preferred.

You will operate high-quality equipment and document per radiologist templates in a Cerner/PACS environment. The position involves a 30-bed facility with a 30‑ to 60‑minute exam window, a defined schedule, and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ultrasound experience required.
• ARDMS registry in abdomen or OB required.
• BLS certification required; RVT registry preferred.
• Must be able to perform abdominal, pelvic, and vascular exams.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a 30-bed critical access facility with 2 ultrasound rooms.
• Handle exams with 30 minutes to 1 hour per patient; maintain documentation per radiologist protocols.
• Work with GE Logic E10, Trophons and Parks Flolab equipment; Cerner EMR with Philips Intellispace PACS.
• Be part of a team with 1 full-time new grad tech, 2 part-time seasoned techs, and 2 travelers.
• May float to outpatient ultrasound; perform abdominal, pelvic, vascular, OB/GYN, and breast imaging as needed.
• Expected call: one night per week and one weekend per month; average 6-8 call days monthly.
