Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for an immediate opening in Hilo, HI. The role requires 1 year of experience, BLS, and ARDMS certifications (RDMS AB, OB/GYN, RVT) with state licensing as needed.

Start date is 10/26/2026 and the assignment runs for 13 weeks at 40 hours per week, with rotating 8-hour shifts. Responsibilities include performing ultrasound exams, educating patients, preparing rooms, assisting Radiologists, reporting abnormalities, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• BLS certification is required.
• ARDMS national certification in multiple subspecialties and state licensing where required.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Identify and observe areas of concern with the ultrasound equipment.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist radiologists with procedures and biopsies.
• Report abnormalities promptly to medical staff.
• Maintain and troubleshoot sonography equipment and records.
• Perform scans and write reports based on results.
• Understand and use PACS systems.
