Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) for a 13-week travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. The role requires ARDMS certification (AB, OB, RVT), active BLS, and a minimum of 3 years of acute hospital experience.

You will float to other units as needed and must arrive the Thursday before start for health clearance. Responsibilities include comprehensive abdominal imaging, gynecologic and obstetric exams, interventional procedures, neonatal imaging, and vascular studies.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification (AB, OB, RVT) is required.
• Active BLS – American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum 3 years of acute hospital experience as a full-time sonographer.
• Ability to float to other units/departments as needed.
• Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health appointment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, evaluating the Aorta, IVC, liver/biliary system, pancreas, spleen, and kidneys in normal and pathologic states.
• Conduct gynecologic imaging (breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis) and obstetric imaging (1st–3rd trimester), including procedures and assessments.
• Perform interventional procedures as needed (aspirations, biopsies, drainage) and intraoperative ultrasound.
• Neonatal imaging and vascular studies (carotid duplex; extremity venous and arterial duplex).
• Operate Canon i700 ultrasound equipment and document findings in EMR (Meditech) with image storage in PACS (Fuji Synapse).
• Collaborate with radiology and other clinical teams; float as required.
