Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a general sonography role in Texas. Requires ARDMS certification and 2+ years of experience.

The position involves on-site work in Midland, with 5x8 day shifts (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) and potential call/weekend coverage. Proficiency with OB/GYN studies, abdominal scans, vascular and small parts, plus Samsung equipment and PACS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• ARDMS certification required; AB, OB/GYN, and PS specialties preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with OB/GYN scans across all trimesters, fetal anatomical surveys, and Doppler studies preferred.
• Experience with general abdominal ultrasound including gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, and abdominal aorta preferred.
• Experience with vascular, small parts, and transplant studies (liver, renal) preferred.
• Experience with paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE required.

Responsibilities

• General ultrasound and cardiology/radiology unit.
• 5x8 day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Call and/or weekend coverage may be required.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Works with adult, pediatric, OB, ICU, NICU, PICU, and ED patient populations.
• Performs abdominal, vascular, small parts, OB/GYN, and portable ultrasound studies.
• Utilizes Samsung ultrasound equipment and PACS system.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging across OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, and small parts studies.
• Support high-risk OB and maternal fetal medicine cases.
• Some holiday coverage expected.
• RTO must be submitted with candidate profile.
• Pending license accepted at time of consideration but must be active prior to start.
• Facility conducts an on-site drug screen including marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation.
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted.
• First-time travelers considered if they meet required experience.
