Job summary

Supplemental Health Care is seeking Ultrasound Technologists for a 26-week travel assignment in Bethel, Alaska. The role offers 40 hours per week across day and night shifts in a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates hold ARDMS certification with an associated or bachelor’s degree in sciences and anatomy, and BLS from the American Heart Association. Two years of recent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Active certification by ARDMS is required.
• Degree in sciences/anatomy plus ARDMS credential.
• Certified in BLS by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and ensure image quality for diagnosis.
• Identify normal/abnormal results and communicate findings to physicians.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and educate them during the exam.
• Review patient history and record imaging results in the medical record.

Qualifications:

• Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Associate or Bachelor's degree with coursework in sciences and anatomy
• American Heart Association BLS
• 2 years of recent relevant experience

General Diagnostic Sonographer Contract Details:

• $2,450 - $2,500 per week*
• 26-week contract with possibility to extend
• AM shifts available
• Hospital Setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate imaging equipment, and review images to be sure they are of good quality and helpful for diagnosis
• Identify normal and abnormal imaging results, communicate a summary of the results to physicians/health professionals, and alert them to urgent problems
• Prepare patients for procedures and educate patients throughout the ultrasound exam
• Review patient medical history, record imaging results in patient records, and coordinate care with various departments within the facility
